Route Description - Hanifaru and Extended North
12 Days 11 Nights
Day 1: Malé Airport
Guests arrive at Velana International Airport in Malé, complete customs formalities, and are transferred by dhoni to the vessel. After boarding, a general cruise briefing is held followed by cabin allocation. The afternoon is free for sailing, relaxation, and dinner on board.
Days 2–11: Diving Cruise – “Hanifaru & Expanded North” Route
This extended itinerary allows ample time to explore the atolls of North Malé, Kaashidhoo, Baa, Raa, Lhaviyani and Noonu. Depending on sea and weather conditions, selected dive sites in the northern Ari Atoll may also be included, such as Fish Head, Maaya Thila or Rasdhoo.
The daily route remains flexible and is determined by currents, visibility, marine life activity and the professional judgment of the captain and cruise director. Diving highlights include manta ray cleaning stations, channel dives rich in marine life, colourful thilas, coral-covered walls, and the opportunity to snorkel in Hanifaru Bay when manta rays are present and park regulations allow.
Possible encounters include guitarfish, leopard sharks, manta rays, eagle rays and, with luck, whale sharks during both day and night dives. The experience is complemented by additional activities such as deserted island barbecues, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, sunset relaxation sessions and visits to local islands.
Day 12: Malé Airport
After breakfast, guests disembark at approximately 7:00 am and are transferred to Velana International Airport for onward flights.
