This traditionally built Phinisi schooner has been exploring Indonesia’s pristine waters since 2001 and was thoughtfully renovated in 2014 to enhance your diving experience. Currently based in Sorong, the SMY Ondina operates a variety of exciting routes through some of Indonesia’s most iconic and remote diving destinations. Explore the world-renowned marine biodiversity of Raja Ampat, the whale shark-rich waters of Cenderawasih Bay, the vibrant coral reefs of the northern Banda Sea, the untouched beauty of Triton Bay, and the unique dive sites around Halmahera. The SMY Ondina features 8 air-conditioned cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom, accommodating up to 16 guests. With a professional and dedicated crew on hand, you can expect personalized service and a memorable journey from start to finish. Cabin Description
Junior cabins 1 and 2, situated on the foredeck, feature twin single bunk beds, providing a cosy and functional space for guests. Each cabin is equipped with a private ensuite bathroom, complete with a freshwater shower, hand basin, and toilet.

Route Description - Raja Ampat Central & North
10 Days / 9 Nights
Day 1: Embarkation •Pick up at Sorong airport. •Transfer to the ship. •Welcome drink and accommodation. •Check dive in the afternoon at Pulau Saonek. •Overnight somewhere nearby. Day 2: Dampier Strait •Diving in the fabulous reefs of the Dampier Straits: Mioskon, Cape Kri, and Sawandarek, among others. •Night navigation to the bay of Aljuy. Day 3: Aljuy Bay •Two dives in Waterlogged. •Guided visit to the pearl farm to see the process of elaboration of this interesting industry. •Afternoon and night diving in the company's docks. Day 4: Kawe •Equator crossing and full-day diving at Kawe: Two dives at Eagle Rock, and an afternoon dive at Black Rock. •Night dive near Wayag. Day 5: Wayag •Diving around the Wayag region, at Pelagic Rock, Figure Eight Island, and The Cathedral. •In the afternoon ascent to the Wayag viewpoint, and at night in the lagoon. Day 6: Fam •Diving in the group of islands around Fam: Galaxy, Keruo Reef, and Melissa's Garden. •Ascent to the Fam viewpoint between dives, and at night around the anchorage. Day 7: Yengefo •A full day of diving in Yengefo, west of Gam: Mayhem, Citrus Ridge, and Karang Lalosi. •In the afternoon visit the town of Airborek. •At night on its docks. Day 8: Birds of Paradise •Excursion at sunrise to see the Birds of Paradise. •Dive at Mike's Point and in the afternoon at Chicken Reef. •Night in front of the town of Yenbeser. Day 9: Sardine Reef •Immersion in Sardine Reef and Blue Magic. •In the afternoon navigation back to Sorong. •Preparations to fly the next morning. Day 10: Disembarkation. •Transfer to the airport after breakfast.
Route Description - Cenderawasih Whale Sharks and Wrecks (Manokwari - Manokwari)
DAY 1: Transfer to the boat upon arrival. Welcome drink and accommodation. Check dive in the wreck of a PBY Catalina, a World War 2 American flying boat. DAY 2: Dive the western end of Pulau Yapen, in Sewandeh and Slamiapien islands and other submerged reefs, with giant fans, soft corals and plenty of fish. DAYS 3-4-5: Wall diving in the atolls, in Tridacna Wall and Spag Point, and the shallow plane wrecks in Pulau Rouw. DAYS 6-7: Dive with the whalesharks under the local fishing boats (bagans). DAY 8: Dive north Roon, Pulau Auri and the remains of a Zero plane wreck in Tanjung Ayami. DAY 9: Dive around Pulau Purup, with beautiful coral formations, giant barrel sponges and glassfish. DAY 10: Dive the wrecks of the landing barges in Pulau Numfor, completely covered in soft corals and small fish creating little oasis of life on the white sand slope in which they lay. Sail back to Biak to fly the morning after.
Route Description - Raja Ampat & North Banda Sea (Sorong-Ambon)
DAY 1: Pick up at Sorong airport, transfer to the boat, welcome drink and accommodation. Check dive in the afternoon at one of the reefs surrounding Sorong. Overnight sailing to Misool. DAY 2: Two dives in Sagof, afternoon in Baby Rock and night dive in Nudi City (Gamfi). DAY 3: Two dives in Jamur Boo (Boo Rocks) and night dive in Yilliet. DAY 4: Dive the fabulous reefs of the Fiabacet group, such as Nudi Rock, Tank Rock, Whale Rock and Shadow Reef (aka Manta Mountain). Optional visit to Misool Eco Resort and overnight sail to Pulau Koon. DAY 5: Three day dives around the very strategic eastern point of Pulau Koon, where the walls on both sides of the island converge into a sandy plateau facing a deep trench, congregating large masses of fish and the added excitement of some pelagic sightings. DAY 6: Dive around Karang Hatta and other sites in the Banda group. Night in Bandaneira, the most beautiful natural anchorage of Indonesia. Dusk dive at the mandarinfish site. DAY 7: Dive the famous sites in Ai and Run Islands, with sheer walls offering excellent drift dives along massive barrel sponges, giant fans and schools of fish, and the eventual presence of larger fish. Afternoon dive in the Lava Flows, a stunning hard coral garden that grew at a astounding speed after Gunung Api’s last eruption in 1988. DAY 8: Cultural visit around Bandaneira, the heart of the Spice Islands: Fort Rotterdam, the Governors House and the nutmeg plantation. Dive Batu Kapal around noon and Pulau Soanggi in the afternoon. Overnight to Nusa Laut. DAY 9: Two dives at the famous site Ameth’s Knoll, a reef parallel to the coast that the local villagers have protected since the old times, to allow fish to spawn and spill over to adjacent areas. Afternoon and night dives at the next village to the south. DAY 10: Two muck dives around the jetties at the Twilight Zone, with a vast array of critters and oddities to be found. Preparation for departure the morning after.
Route Description - Raja Ampat & Kai Islands
Day 1: Sorong Pick up at Sorong airport, transfer to the boat, welcome drink and accommodation. Check dive in the afternoon at one of the reefs outside Sorong. Overnight sail to Misool. Day 2: Misool Three day dives and a night dive in the colourful reefs of Daram Islands (Misool): Andiamo, Candy Store and Warna Bewarna, amongst others. Day 3 & 4: Misool Two days diving some of the classic sites in the Misool area, such as Nudi and Tank Rock, Pulau Boo or Shadow Reef (Magic Mountain). Also visit the blacktip shark nursery in Yilliet beach. At the end of day 4 night sailing to Pulau Pisang. Day 5: Pulau Pisang Full day around Pulau Pisang diving Lucky Ridge and T-Bone amongst others. Overnight sail to Mommon. Day 6: Mommon Two morning dives at Karang Paradise, where literally everything is possible. Soft and hard corals, huge schools of bigeye jacks and surgeons fish, reef sharks and quite often mantas. Afternoon dive near Tiki-Tiki waterfall and visit the waterfall afterwards. Night dive and sail to Kurkap Island. Day 7: Kurkap Full diving day in Kurkap, diving the main island as well as the reef to the north of it. Pristine corals gardens and lots of fish populate these reefs. After night dive, sail to Pulau Bui. Day 8: Pulau Bui Two mornings dives in two different seamounts north from Pulau Bui: Villoch Reef and Ultima Frontera. In the afternoon one more dive in a ridge close to Pulau Bui, where we also do the night dive. Day 9: Pulau Tayandu Two morning dives north of Pulau Tayandu, first in Karang Rembang and the second at Batu Guano. In the afternoon visit Pasir Panjang, a very long stretch of powder white sand beach fringed with coconut trees, before sailing back to Tual. Preparation for departure the morning after.
