Route Description - Raja Ampat - Misool (11 nights)
Departing and returning to Sorong, this itinerary visits the must-see dive sites of Misool and Central Raja Ampat. Encounter both reef and oceanic manta rays at renowned Raja Ampat dive sites. Visit unspoiled hard and soft coral gardens.
Discover the dramatic underwater landscapes and stunning reefs of Misool. Explore the swim-throughs and caves of Goa Farondi. See the ancient rock paintings of Timolol. Cruise through lagoons in Penemu. Land visit to the lookout point on Piaynemo for that classic Raja Ampat photo. Search for a Walking shark (Epaulette shark). Dive the well known and action-packed Dampier Strait. Search for Pontoh's pygmy seahorse at Mioskon. Night dive is included in the schedule.
Day 1 – Sorong, Embarkation & Departure
Guests are welcomed aboard Mari in Sorong, the gateway to Raja Ampat. Following embarkation, cabin allocation and safety briefings, the journey begins into one of the world's last great marine wildernesses.
•Dive 1 – Matam
Matam offers the perfect introduction to Raja Ampat diving. This gentle reef features excellent visibility, healthy corals and abundant reef fish, making it ideal for a relaxed check dive and camera preparation. Schools of fusiliers, sweetlips and surgeonfish are common, while hawksbill turtles are often seen grazing on the reef.
After the dive, Mari begins the overnight crossing south to Misool.
Day 2 – Daram Islands, Southern Misool
By morning, the dramatic limestone islands of Misool come into view. Protected for more than two decades, these reefs rank among the healthiest and most biodiverse in the Coral Triangle.

Coral-covered ridges draped in colourful soft corals and sea fans attract large schools of fusiliers, snappers and reef sharks.
•Dive 2 – Candy Store
A vibrant reef bursting with life, where strong currents bring barracuda, giant trevallies, tuna and spectacular soft coral growth.
•Dive 3 – Yillet Kecil
A beautiful mix of coral bommies and gardens, ideal for photography, with pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs and other macro treasures.
•Night Dive – Yillet Jetty
Walking sharks, octopus, cuttlefish and countless nocturnal creatures emerge after dark.
Day 3 – The Heart of Misool
Today's dives showcase the sites that have made Misool world famous.
•Dive 1 – Magic Mountain
A legendary cleaning station where reef and oceanic manta rays are regularly encountered alongside barracuda, giant trevallies and tuna.
•Dive 2 – Four Kings
Coral-covered pinnacles alive with schooling fusiliers, snappers and surgeonfish, with frequent reef shark sightings.
•Dive 3 – Warna Berwarna
A dazzling reef blanketed in vibrant soft corals and thriving reef life.
•Night Dive – Harapan Jetty
Excellent macro diving with bobtail squid, pipefish, juvenile reef fish and fascinating nocturnal critters.
Day 4 – Farondi & Hidden Lagoons
Towering limestone cliffs conceal hidden lagoons above the surface, while beneath the water ancient formations create some of Raja Ampat's most unique dive sites.
•Dive 1 – Goa Farondi
Swim through spectacular caverns, tunnels and limestone passages illuminated by shafts of sunlight.
•Dive 2 – Farondi Wall
A colourful vertical wall covered in sea fans and black corals, home to pygmy seahorses and other cryptic species.
•Dive 3 – Nudi Rock
One of Misool's finest macro sites, renowned for nudibranchs, small marine life and excellent coral growth.
Enjoy an afternoon excursion through Farondi's hidden lagoons and limestone caves.
Day 5 – Fiabacet & Tomolol
Today combines some of Raja Ampat's finest diving with a fascinating cultural excursion.
•Dive 1 – Fiabacet
Coral pinnacles rising from deep water attract immense schools of fish, reef sharks and other pelagic species.
•Dive 2 – Tank Rock
A dramatic reef rich in coral growth, schooling barracuda, trevallies and surgeonfish.
•Dive 3 – Whale Rock
Steep walls and flourishing coral gardens visited by Napoleon wrasse, turtles and reef sharks.
•Night Dive – Nudi Rock
After sunset, octopus, crustaceans and walking sharks become active across the reef.
In the afternoon, visit the ancient rock paintings of Tomolol, hidden among Misool's spectacular limestone islands.
Day 6 – Northern Misool & Crossing North
A final day exploring Misool's iconic reefs before sailing north.

Perhaps Raja Ampat's most photographed dive site, featuring spectacular swim-throughs, overhangs and coral-covered ridges.
•Dive 2 – Boo West
Beautiful hard and soft coral gardens frequented by turtles, reef sharks and schooling fish.

A colourful ridge alive with anthias, fusiliers and sea fans.
During the evening, Mari begins the overnight crossing towards Central Raja Ampat.
Day 7 – Fam Islands & Melissa's Garden
The Fam Islands are home to some of the finest hard coral reefs in Indonesia.

Day 8 – Piaynemo & Penemu
A day combining exceptional diving with Raja Ampat's most iconic viewpoint.
•Dive 1 – Barracuda Rock
A submerged pinnacle attracting barracuda, giant trevallies and tuna.
•Dive 2 – Galaxy
Healthy reefs surrounded by clouds of schooling fish and occasional shark encounters.
•Dive 3 – Batu Rufas
Beautiful coral gardens set among the limestone islands of the Fam region.
Land Excursion – Piaynemo Viewpoint
Climb to the famous Piaynemo lookout for panoramic views across Raja Ampat's emerald limestone islands and turquoise lagoons.
Day 9 – Arborek & Manta Sandy
Today explores the legendary Dampier Strait, where nutrient-rich currents support one of the world's richest marine ecosystems.
•Dive 1 – Manta Sandy
A renowned cleaning station where several reef manta rays are often seen circling gracefully above the reef.
•Dive 2 – Arborek Jetty
A vibrant jetty dive alive with batfish, jacks, snapper and colourful soft corals.
•Dive 3 – Citrus Ridge
Soft coral gardens inhabited by anthias, fusiliers and resting wobbegong sharks.
•Night Dive – Arborek Jetty
Walking sharks, octopus, shrimp and cuttlefish emerge after dark.
Guests may also visit the welcoming Papuan village of Arborek.
Day 10 – Dampier Strait
Today's dives showcase three of Raja Ampat's most celebrated sites.
•Dive 1 – Blue Magic
A legendary seamount attracting manta rays, giant trevallies, tuna, barracuda and eagle rays.
•Dive 2 – Sardine Reef
A current-swept pinnacle packed with schooling fish and patrolled by grey reef sharks.
•Dive 3 – Cape Kri
Home to the world-record fish count, Cape Kri offers extraordinary biodiversity, from reef sharks and barracuda to countless colourful reef species.
Day 11 – Kri, Mansuar & Mioskon
The final diving day explores the spectacular reefs surrounding Kri and Mansuar, among the richest marine ecosystems on Earth.
•Dive 1 – Sawandarek Jetty
An iconic site featuring turtles, wobbegong sharks, sweetlips and huge schools of reef fish.
•Dive 2 – Mike's Point
Dramatic coral slopes, swim-throughs and currents attracting jacks, fusiliers and reef sharks.
During the afternoon, Mari begins the return cruise to Sorong. A farewell dinner provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate an unforgettable Raja Ampat expedition.
Day 12 – Sorong
After breakfast, guests are transferred to Sorong Airport for their onward flights.
