Route Description - Raja Ampat South -Misool
Highlights include Melissa’s Garden, renowned for its vibrant hard coral garden nestled between three small islands, and Misool, home to one of the most biodiverse underwater landscapes in the world. Divers can encounter manta rays, giant trevally, Napoleon wrasse, and large snapper, while night dives reveal a thrilling scene of predators on the hunt. Admire colorful sea fans, schools of fusiliers, and the striking bumphead parrotfish. For excitement, Anchovy offers a mesmerizing display of mobula rays weaving through vast schools of anchovies, and My Reef invites encounters with barracudas, wobbegongs, and blacktip reef sharks.
Day 1 – Sorong to Waisai
Guests are greeted by La Galigo’s crew and transferred from Sorong airport or hotel to the harbor. After boarding, they meet the Cruise Director, settle in, and enjoy lunch during the sail to Waisai. The first dive takes place at Saonek Kecil, a calm site ideal for check-out dives.
Day 2 – Gam Island
Diving begins at Mangrove Ridge, followed by Citrus Ridge and Mayhem. These sites showcase vivid corals, schooling fish, and pelagic predators. The day ends with sunset views over Waigeo and Gam.
Day 3 – Piaynemo (Penemu)
The day features dives at Melissa’s Garden, Keruo Channel, and Batu Rufus, known for stunning coral gardens and dramatic drop-offs. In the afternoon, guests can hike to the Piaynemo viewpoint for breathtaking lagoon scenery.
Day 4 – Piaynemo to Misool
Morning dives take place at Galaxy and My Reef, home to wobbegongs, sharks, and barracudas. The vessel then sails south toward Misool overnight.
Day 5 – Wayil, Misool
Divers explore Wayil’s famous sites, including Four Kings and Barracuda Rock, teeming with Manta Rays, trevallies, and sea fans. Night diving around limestone pinnacles is optional.
Day 6 – Fiabacet/Boo, Misool
Highlights include Boo Window, Nudi Rock, and Anchovy—dives filled with sea fans, pygmy seahorses, and spectacular encounters with Mobula and Manta Rays.
Day 7 – Warakaraket, Misool
Guests dive Whale Rock, Tank Rock, and the legendary Shadow Reef (Magic Mountain), where oceanic Manta Rays often appear.
Day 8 – Daram
Final dives take place at Andiamo and Warna Berwarna, featuring pygmy seahorses, barracudas, and vibrant coral gardens. The day ends with an al fresco farewell dinner and celebration as La Galigo sails back to Sorong.
Day 9 – Disembarkation in Sorong
Arriving early in Sorong, guests enjoy breakfast, exchange photos, and bid farewell before transferring to the airport or hotel.
