Danubio Azul is a Tourist Class diving yacht offering adventure-focused liveaboard cruises in the Galápagos Islands, fully authorized by the Galápagos National Park for both diving and naturalist itineraries. It was introduced in August 2016 and has since served as a gateway for divers and naturalists to explore one of the world’s most extraordinary marine environments. Measuring approximately 24.8 metres (81 ft) in length, Danubio Azul carries up to 14 passengers comfortably across eight cabins distributed on the upper, main, and lower decks. Each cabin includes air conditioning and private bathrooms with hot showers, with upper-deck accommodation offering ocean views. The vessel also features shaded dive facilities, an alfresco dining area, a sun deck, and spaces for relaxing between dives or excursions. The liveaboard is designed for both diving and wildlife exploration. Expert dive instructors and naturalist guides accompany guests on itineraries that begin in Baltra and visit iconic sites around the archipelago, including Santa Cruz, Bartolomé, Wolf, and Darwin Islands. Divers aboard Danubio Azul can encounter rich marine life, such as hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, and other endemic species, while naturalist cruises include guided onshore excursions to experience the Galápagos’ unique terrestrial wildlife. Danubio Azul also provides additional water activities such as kayaks and snorkeling gear, free Wi-Fi, and gourmet meals prepared by a qualified chef. Its combination of expert guides, essential dive facilities, and itineraries that blend underwater adventure with natural history makes it a compelling choice for divers and nature enthusiasts exploring the Galápagos.
