The Banda Sea is framed by islands stretching from the larger landmasses of Buru, Halmahera, Ambon, and Seram in the north, to Gorom, Kei, and Aru in the east. To the south lie the islands of Tanimbar, Wetar, and Reong, along with smaller island groups such as Babar and Moa, reaching as far as East Timor.
Ambon Bay is renowned for offering some of Indonesia’s finest critter diving, while the nearby island of Halmahera remains largely unexplored, revealing a number of remarkable new dive sites in recent years.
Raja Ampat, often described as the crown jewel of the Coral Triangle, invites divers and travelers to immerse themselves in its extraordinary natural beauty. From Wayag and Misool to Batanta, the Fam Islands, and the Wagmab Island chain, the region presents an unmatched variety of activities and underwater experiences, making it one of the most diverse liveaboard destinations in the world.
