Route Description - Deep South
8 Days 7 Nights
This itinerary showcases the very best of Egypt’s southern Red Sea diving. At the heart of the journey lies the rarely explored and nearly untouched Elba Reef, located just north of the Sudanese border. This exceptional site features stunning plateaus on both its northern and southern ends and stretches impressively in the north, descending to depths of around 45 meters. Divers can expect awe-inspiring encounters with majestic grey reef sharks and, with some luck, hammerhead sharks. One of the standout attractions is the wreck of the SS Isola di Levanzo, resting along the reef.
In addition to Elba Reef, the itinerary includes stops at other renowned dive sites such as Abu Dabab, Daedalus Reef, Rocky Island, Zabargad, St. John’s, Fury Shoals, and Elphinstone Reef. Together, these sites offer an unparalleled diversity of underwater landscapes, marine life, and memorable diving experiences—making this trip one of the most rewarding explorations of the southern Red Sea.
