Route Description - Daedalus & Fury Shoal
8 Days 7 Nights
Shaab Claudio
Shaab Claudio offers a calm and relaxing dive experience thanks to its shallow depth and minimal current. The site features a small, easy-to-navigate cave system that creates stunning light effects, making it especially appealing to underwater photographers. A vibrant hard coral garden, along with sightings of moray eels and large napoleon wrasses, adds to the charm and beauty of this dive site.
Sha’ab Sataya (Dolphin House)
Situated in the southern part of the Fury Shoals, Sha’ab Sataya—commonly referred to as Dolphin House—is shaped like a horseshoe and shelters a spacious lagoon. This area is well known for frequent encounters with dolphins, especially while snorkeling, offering unforgettable interactions with these playful marine mammals. The reef also provides an excellent setting for night dives, adding variety to the overall diving experience.
Elphinstone Reef
Elphinstone is famed for its twin plateaus on the north and south ends, which are prime spots for hammerhead shark sightings. The curious oceanic whitetip shark (Longimanus) is another regular visitor. Combined with breathtaking coral formations, encounters with napoleon wrasses, and graceful sea turtles, Elphinstone makes for a spectacular and fitting finale to any Red Sea diving journey.
Daedalus Reef
Located south of the Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef is distinguished by its pristine hard coral gardens and the renowned Anemone City. However, it is the consistent presence of schooling hammerhead sharks that has cemented its reputation as one of the most thrilling and sought-after dive sites in the Red Sea.
