Route Description - Mobula and Orca Adventures
Multiple orca pods visit the Sea of Cortez every spring and summer—one of the few places where these apex predators actively interact with humans. Orcas are present year-round, with peak sightings from July to August. Sightings are most frequent around Cerralvo Island and Isla San Jose, though they roam widely. A seasonal highlight: massive schools of acrobatic mobula rays gather from late March to early July—an unforgettable sight both above and below the water.
Day 1 – Welcome Aboard!
Guests are welcomed in Cabo San Lucas, with a 1:00 pm photo session and diving orientation at SeeCreatures. By 4:30 pm, a complimentary transfer takes them to La Paz, where the crew greets them with champagne and margaritas. The trip focuses on snorkeling and freediving, though dive gear is available on request.
Days 2–7 – Sea of Cortez
Expert guides lead daily excursions to encounter marine life like mobula rays, blue and humpback whales, dolphins, whale sharks, and more. A high-speed RHIB allows access to remote spots around Espiritu Santo, Cerralvo, and Las Ventanas. Guests may snorkel with mobulas at sunrise, return for meals aboard Mango Wind, then head back out for more wildlife encounters. Orca sightings are a major highlight during peak season.
Day 8 – Disembarkation
After breakfast, guests disembark in La Paz at 8:30 am, with complimentary transfers to Cabo or the airport.
