Route Description - Raja Ampat/ Misool 8N
9 Days 8 Nights
Day 1 – Embarkation (Sorong)
Upon arrival at Domine Edward Osok Airport (SOQ) in Sorong, the crew welcomes the guests and assists with embarkation. Once onboard, guests settle into their cabins and complete registration. A safety and orientation briefing is conducted before lunch. If time permits, the group participates in a check dive.
Day 2 – Waisai & Mansuar (Raja Ampat)
The journey begins in the iconic waters of Raja Ampat, surrounded by lush limestone islets. The day is spent exploring the dive sites around Waisai and Mansuar Island, featuring dramatic pinnacles, vertical walls, and vibrant coral reefs. A total of 3–4 dives are scheduled.
Day 3 – Gam, Yangefo & Airborek (Dampier Strait)
Diving continues in the western part of the Dampier Strait, around the islands of Gam, Yangefo, and Airborek. The area offers thrilling drift dives, opportunities for macro photography, and potential sightings of majestic Manta Rays. Up to 4 dives are scheduled for the day.
Day 4 – Reef Exploration & Land Excursion (Raja Ampat)
The group dives on energetic reefs and pinnacles, and may experience a channel drift dive. This area is known for its biodiversity, including various species of sharks such as Wobbegongs, Blacktip and Whitetip reef sharks, and the occasional Grey Reef shark. Guests also encounter macro critters, schooling fish, and rays. A short land excursion is included alongside the 3–4 dives of the day.
Days 5–7 – Southern Raja Ampat (Misool)
The expedition ventures south to the island of Misool, renowned for its stunning underwater landscapes. Over the next three days, divers explore rich coral reefs filled with marine life. Giant Gorgonian sea fans host pygmy seahorses, and the limestone islands provide refuge for countless reef species. Pelagic fish patrol the reefs, while soft and hard corals create a kaleidoscope of color. The group may be lucky enough to spot the elusive Raja Ampat Epaulette Shark (walking shark) or a Manta Ray. Each day includes multiple dives across pinnacles, ridges, and vibrant reefs.
Day 8 – Final Dives in Daram (Eastern Misool)
On the final dive day, guests enjoy two morning dives in the Daram area, located in the easternmost part of Misool. After diving concludes, the crew takes care of rinsing and drying all equipment. Guests relax on deck as the vessel cruises back toward Sorong.
Day 9 – Disembarkation (Sorong)
The expedition ends in Sorong Harbor. Guests enjoy a light breakfast before being transferred to the airport. Farewells are exchanged with hopes of future adventures together.
