Route Description - Best of Daymaniat
8 Days 7 Nights
7 Days 6 Nights
During the summer and fall seasons, the Oman Explorer operates in the central region of Oman, focusing on the capital area surrounding Muscat. These liveaboard tours begin and end in Sifah and include a carefully curated itinerary that highlights the region’s top diving locations. Over the course of the trip, divers spend three days at the celebrated Daymaniyat Islands, one day at Fahal Island, and one and a half days exploring the underwater landscapes of Bandar Khayran.
The Daymaniyat Islands, a chain of nine uninhabited islets, are part of a designated nature reserve and offer numerous dive sites suitable for all experience levels. This protected area teems with marine life—massive schools of fish, leopard sharks, and an abundance of turtles are common sightings. During the right season, whale sharks may also make an appearance.
Fahal Island, located approximately 4 kilometers offshore from Muscat, is known for its vibrant coral gardens. The bays are rich with a variety of hard and soft corals, and divers can often spot stingrays and reef sharks resting on the sandy seafloor.
Another highlight of the itinerary is the wreck of the Al Munassir in Bandar Khayran. This artificial reef has become a thriving underwater habitat, home to moray eels, lobsters, colorful nudibranchs, and large schools of fish.
As with all liveaboard itineraries, the exact routing is subject to change depending on weather conditions, port authority regulations, and the experience level of the guests on board.
