Route Description - Ultimate Bali-Bajo Expedition - Westbound 12D/11N

This 12-day westbound expedition travels from Komodo National Park back to Bali, combining thrilling current-swept dives and manta encounters with the volcanic landscapes of Sangeang Api, Satonda’s crater lake, whale shark encounters in Saleh Bay and vibrant reefs around Moyo, Gili Trawangan and Southwest Lombok. The journey concludes with several days exploring the spectacular waters of Nusa Penida, with approximately 34–35 dives throughout.

Day 1 – Labuan Bajo and Sebayur
Embark La Galigo in Labuan Bajo before sailing towards Sebayur. Enjoy a relaxed check dive at Sebayur Slope, followed by a night dive where nocturnal reef life emerges.

Day 2 – Central Komodo
Explore Mawan and Karang Makassar for Manta Ray encounters, followed by the iconic Batu Bolong with its exceptional marine life. Finish with a night dive at Stranger Things.

Day 3 – Komodo Reefs and Dragons
Dive around Pink Beach and Golden Passage before heading ashore for a guided Komodo dragon trek. Finish the day with a sheltered night dive.

Day 4 – Northwest Komodo
Experience Komodo's exhilarating diving at Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and The Cauldron (Shotgun), where strong currents attract schooling fish, trevally and reef sharks. Finish with a sheltered dive after dark.

Day 5 – Sangeang Api
Explore the volcanic reefs and black-sand slopes of Sangeang Api, known for colourful coral and unusual macro life. Finish with a sunset or night dive before continuing towards Satonda.

Day 6 – Satonda
Enjoy dives around Satonda Island before heading ashore for a short trek to its peaceful volcanic crater lake. A sunset or night dive completes the day.

Day 7 – Saleh Bay and Moyo
Search for Whale Sharks around Saleh Bay's traditional bagan fishing platforms, following local regulations and conditions. Continue to Moyo for colourful reefs before sailing towards Gili Trawangan.

Day 8 – Gili Trawangan
Dive Deep Turbo and Shark Point, with opportunities to encounter turtles, schooling fish and reef sharks. Enjoy a relaxed island visit and beach BBQ before continuing west.

Day 9 – Southwest Lombok and Toyapakeh
Explore the quieter reefs of Southwest Lombok, with colourful coral gardens and varied marine life. Continue towards Nusa Penida for a night dive at Toyapakeh.

Day 10 – Nusa Penida
Dive Manta Point and Crystal Bay, with opportunities to encounter Manta Rays and the elusive mola mola. Explore the dramatic coastline around Broken Beach before a final sheltered night dive.

Day 11 – Nusa Penida Above and Below
Enjoy further diving around Crystal Bay before visiting the famous Kelingking Beach viewpoint. Relax with a BBQ at Diamond Beach before beginning the journey back to Bali.

Day 12 – Bali
Sail from Nusa Penida to Benoa and disembark La Galigo at approximately 11:00 AM. Transfer assistance is provided to Bali's airport or a local hotel, marking the end of the 12-day expedition.

Your reservation request is obligation free and you can cancel anytime within the first 72 hours. During this time, you can easily find matching flights and get answers from our reservations team to any further questions you may have.

After you have confirmed and paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies:

More than 60 days before departure: Any deposits paid are forfeited. No further payments are required.
60 days or less before departure: The full trip price is due and non-refundable (if you have already paid, no refund will be issued.
No-show or early termination: If you fail to arrive for the trip or leave the trip early (or are asked to leave), no refund or credit will be given.
