Route Description - Raja Ampat, Misool & Banda Sea (12 nights)
This unique one-way itinerary combines the best of the Raja Ampat dive sites with exploring the Spice Islands. Encounter both reef and oceanic manta rays at renowned Raja Ampat dive sites. Visit unspoiled hard and soft coral gardens. Discover the dramatic underwater landscapes and stunning reefs of Misool. Dive the remote Daram Island group. Land visit to the 17th-century Fort Belgica on Banga Neira. Visit a nutmeg plantation. Visit the pristine coral colonies of Nusa Laut. See the old forts and colonial buildings of Nusa Laut. Dive the world-class muck diving sites of Ambon. Night dive is included in the schedule.
Day 1
Guests arrive in Sorong, the gateway to Raja Ampat, where the crew welcomes everyone aboard Mari before the adventure begins.
Days 2–11
Enjoy up to 3–4 dives daily (1–2 dives on longer crossing days) while exploring some of Eastern Indonesia's most spectacular dive destinations.
•Misool – One of Raja Ampat's four main islands, renowned for pristine coral reefs, dramatic limestone islands, vibrant soft corals, and exceptional marine biodiversity nourished by nutrient-rich currents.
•Koon Island – Home to the legendary "Too Many Fish" dive site, famous for immense schools of jacks, barracuda, snappers, reef sharks, and spectacular fish action.
•Banda Neira – The historic Spice Islands combine fascinating cultural heritage with crystal-clear waters, volcanic reefs, dramatic walls, schooling fish, Napoleon wrasse, bumphead parrotfish, and seasonal hammerhead sharks.
•Nusa Laut – One of the Moluccas' most pristine reef systems, protected by local communities and known for colourful coral gardens, exceptional reef health, and the chance to spot dugongs in nearby seagrass meadows.
•Ambon – Famous worldwide for its remarkable muck diving, Ambon offers outstanding macro photography opportunities with rhinopias, frogfish, ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, and many other fascinating critters.
Day 12
Enjoy the final dives of the expedition before arriving in Ambon.
Day 13
After breakfast or lunch, depending on flight schedules, guests disembark and transfer to Ambon Airport for their onward journey.
