Route Description - Banda Sea & South Raja Ampat
12 Days 11 Night
Day 1: Arrival & Embarkation – Ambon
Guests are greeted at the airport and transferred to the vessel in Ambon for embarkation and orientation.
Day 2: Muck Diving in Ambon
Diving begins with a relaxed check dive followed by two world-class muck dives in Ambon Bay. Expect critters like Rhinopias, Ghostpipefish, Harlequin Shrimps, and possibly the rare Psychedelic Frogfish.
Day 3: Vibrant Reefs of Nusa Laut
Nusa Laut showcases healthy coral reefs thanks to local conservation. Divers enjoy walls and slopes rich in reef fish, schools of jacks, Bumphead Parrotfish, and macro life.
Days 4–5: The Spice Islands – Banda Neira
Guests explore the historic Banda Islands, with optional volcano hikes and heritage tours. Underwater highlights include pristine reefs, possible schooling hammerheads, and sites like ‘Lava Flow,’ ‘Batu Kapal,’ and a Mandarin Fish dive in the harbour.
Day 6: Fish-Filled Koon & Scenic Madorang
At Koon, divers are immersed in a spectacular marine display: schools of Fusiliers, Giant Trevallies, Groupers, and macro treasures. A scenic wall dive follows at Madorang en route to Raja Ampat.
Day 7: Welcome to Raja Ampat – SE Misool
Diving begins in Misool’s No-Take Zone at sites like ‘Magic Mountain,’ home to sharks, Napoleon Wrasse, and Mantas. Further dives around Boo Island offer dramatic swim-throughs and rich reef life.
Day 8: Fiabatjet’s Hidden Gems
Diverse soft coral gardens dazzle at sites like ‘Tank Rock’ and ‘Nudi Rock,’ with everything from reef fish to pygmy seahorses and vibrant macro life.
Day 9: Caverns of Farondi
Farondi offers dramatic underwater terrain—caves, caverns, and schools of silversides hunted by Mobula Rays—along with lesser-dived secret spots.
Day 10: Dampier Strait Action
The nutrient-rich waters of the Dampier Strait deliver thrilling dives with dense fish life and Manta Ray encounters. Sites include ‘Kap Kri,’ ‘Sardine Reef,’ and ‘Blu Majik.’
Day 11: Hidden Dampier & Farewell Snorkel
To avoid crowds, the day features off-the-beaten-path dives including a WWII wreck and manta snorkelling. Whale and dolphin sightings are possible on the journey back.
Day 12: Disembarkation – Sorong
Guests disembark in Sorong, with crew assistance for luggage and flight check-in.
