Route Description - Visayas North

Day 1 – Embarkation in Dumaguete
In the late afternoon, guests are welcomed aboard Atlantis Infiniti at the Atlantis Dumaguete resort. Following a welcome briefing and orientation, the yacht sets off on its overnight journey toward the Visayas, cruising under the stars toward the first dive destination.
Day 2 – Pamilacan Island
The first diving day begins at Pamilacan Island, where divers explore sloping reefs teeming with vibrant coral growth and an abundance of marine life. The surrounding sanctuary often rewards guests with sightings of dolphins, whales, schooling barracudas, and, on lucky days, graceful manta rays gliding through the blue.
Day 3 – Anda, Bohol
Diving continues along the dramatic walls and sandy slopes of Anda in Bohol. Known for its pristine reefs and fascinating macro life, this region reveals a colourful underwater world populated by pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs, ghost pipefish, and a variety of reef fish species, offering a rewarding balance between muck and reef diving.
Day 4 – Sogod Bay (Napantao), Southern Leyte
Guests spend the day diving within the marine protected area of Napantao in Sogod Bay. This underwater haven boasts a kaleidoscope of coral formations, schooling fish, and regular sightings of turtles, frogfish, and whitetip reef sharks. Its nutrient-rich waters and biodiversity make it one of the highlights of the route.
Day 5 – Kimud Shoal & Gato Island
The journey continues to Kimud Shoal, a sunken island with a reef top at 12–16 meters and a dramatic drop-off plunging to over 200 meters. This site is famed for encounters with thresher sharks, manta rays, and schooling pelagics such as tuna. In the afternoon, Gato Island offers a contrasting experience with rugged topography, coral-covered slopes, and swim-throughs home to whitetip reef sharks.
Day 6 – Malapascua Island
Diving at Malapascua Island offers an exciting mix of macro and megafauna. Guests may encounter resting bamboo and whitetip sharks inside underwater caverns, while the surrounding reefs host soft coral gardens brimming with nudibranchs, frogfish, and shrimp. Pelagic action is also possible, with bait balls and squid often seen in open water.
Day 7 – Capitancillo Islet
The final full day of diving takes place at Capitancillo Islet, a small coral island marked by a historical lighthouse. Divers explore vertical walls adorned with sea fans, whip corals, and sponges, and may spot yellowfin tuna, large groupers, and schooling jacks patrolling the deep.
Day 8 – Disembarkation in Dumaguete
The cruise concludes with an early morning return to Atlantis Dumaguete. Guests disembark at approximately 8:00 AM and may choose to extend their adventure with additional land-based diving or excursions around Negros Oriental.
