Route Description - Explore the Far North (11 Nights)
North Male Atoll – Lhaviyani Atoll – Baa Atoll – Raa Atoll – Shaviyani Atoll – Haa Alifu Atoll
Embark on a one-way expedition to the far northern reaches of the Maldives, approximately 180 miles north of Malé, where the remote reefs of Shaviyani and Haa Alifu Atolls offer some of the country's most untouched diving.
These lesser-visited waters provide a genuine sense of exploration, with pristine reefs, dramatic channels and vibrant thilas attracting sharks, manta rays and a variety of pelagic species. With very few liveaboards operating in the region, divers can enjoy uncrowded dive sites and exceptional marine life encounters.
Among the oldest atolls in the Maldives, the Far Northern Atolls have been shaped over millions of years and remain one of the archipelago’s most secluded regions. Their isolation has helped preserve healthy coral reefs and thriving underwater ecosystems.
This itinerary includes a 50-minute one-way domestic flight between Malé and Hanimadhoo, depending on the direction of travel. Whether travelling northbound or southbound aboard Spirit of Maldives, guests can expect an unforgettable expedition through one of the Maldives’ most remote and rewarding diving destinations.
Nitrox is highly recommended.
