Route Description - Deep South - Elba Reef

The Deep South – Elba Reef Route explores the remote southern frontier of the Red Sea, combining dramatic reef systems, deep walls and exciting pelagic encounters. Centred around the legendary Elba Reef, divers explore steep drop-offs, coral-covered plateaus and caves frequented by hammerheads, grey reef sharks, silky sharks and oceanic whitetips. The itinerary also includes renowned southern dive sites such as St. John’s, Big and Little Gotta, Sataya Reef and the coral-encrusted Levanzo Wreck. From colourful coral gardens and drift dives to wrecks, caverns and dolphin encounters, this route offers an adventurous journey through some of Egypt’s most remote and least-visited dive regions.

Port Hamata – Elba Reef Itinerary

Day 1: Port Hamata – Embarkation

Day 2: Check out Dive is at Abu Galawa Sothayar and then Sataya Reef before heading for Elba Reef in the deep south.

Day 3: Diving whole day and night Dive at Elba Reef at Habili Debia Reef, Habili Shalal Reef and Elba West Reefs.

Day 4: Diving whole day and night Dive at Elba Reef at Big Gotta Elba East and West and Shaap Kabrete West.

Day 5: Diving whole day and night Dive at Elba Reef at Levenzo Wreck and North of Elba Shaap Shaga before heading back south to St John.

Day 6: Morning dives are at Big and Small Gotta. Afternoon dives and night dives are at Paradise Reef, St John Caves or Serenaka Island.

Day 7: 1st Dive of the morning is at Sataya Reef, followed by snorkeling with Spinner Dolphin and then the 2nd dive is at Shaap Claudia Reef. Then back to Port Hamata sunset party and dinner onboard.

Day 8: Port Hamata – Disembark

Your reservation request is obligation free and you can cancel anytime within the first 72 hours. During this time, you can easily find matching flights and get answers from our reservations team to any further questions you may have.

After you have confirmed and paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies:

Individuals: If a cancellation is made:
91 days or more prior to departure, 20% is forfeited.
90 days or less prior to departure, 100% is forfeited.
Groups (half yacht or more): If an entire charter is cancelled:
More than nine (9) months prior to departure, the $1,500 deposit is forfeited.
Nine (9) months to 181 days prior to departure, the $5,000 deposit is forfeited.
180 - 91 days prior to departure, 40% of the group charter rate is forfeited.
90 days or less prior to departure, 100% of the charter rate is forfeited and no refund is available.

Groups (half yacht or more): If the number of passengers is reduced from the original group reservation:
More than nine (9) months prior to departure, the reservation may be reduced down to one paying passenger which will result in loss of complimentary space(s).
Nine (9) months to 181 days prior to departure, 20% of the charter rate per passenger cancelled is forfeited, and there is a reduction/loss of free space(s).
180 - 91 days prior to departure, 40% of the charter rate per passenger cancelled is forfeited and there is a reduction/loss of free space(s).
90 days or less prior to departure, 100% of the charter rate per person is forfeited and there is a reduction/loss of free space(s).
