Route Description - Belize South - Placencia & Glovers Reef
The Placencia & Glover's Reef itinerary explores southern Belize — a region that sees far fewer liveaboard divers than the more-traveled north, making it one of the most pristine and unspoiled diving experiences in the Caribbean.
Day 1 – South Water Caye (Check Dives)
Begin with check dives at South Water Caye Marine Reserve, featuring healthy coral gardens, swim-throughs and vibrant reef life.
Day 2–4 – Glover’s Reef Atoll
Explore one of the Caribbean’s most pristine atolls, with exceptional visibility and diverse dive sites including walls, pinnacles and shallow reefs. Expect encounters with reef and nurse sharks, eagle rays, turtles, moray eels, seahorses and abundant macro life.
Day 5 – Gladden Spit & Silk Cayes
Dive this world-renowned marine reserve, famous for seasonal whale shark encounters (March–June). Outside the season, enjoy pelagic action with jacks, bull sharks and spawning groupers.
Day 6 – Laughing Bird Caye
Conclude with dives in crystal-clear waters around colourful coral gardens and photogenic reef formations in this protected national park.
Day 7 – Return to Placencia
Final dives (if conditions allow) before returning to port.
Day 8 – Disembarkation
Guests disembark after breakfast for onward travel.
