Days 2–11: Banda Islands, The Forgotten Islands & Alor
Over the next nine days, the journey explores some of Indonesia’s most remote and spectacular regions, both above and below the water.
•Historic Banda Highlights
Dive vibrant soft coral gardens, black coral forests and fish-filled reefs. Seasonal whale shark encounters are possible, alongside dramatic cliffs and mangrove-lined shores. Optional village visits offer insight into local communities and West Papuan culture.
•The Forgotten Islands Highlights
This remote volcanic island chain played a key role in Indonesia’s spice trade history. While pelagic encounters are common, the true highlight is the sheer abundance and diversity of marine life, from large schools of fish to exceptional macro subjects.
•Alor Highlights
Alor’s crystal-clear waters lie along the migration route of large cetaceans, including blue whales. Strong tidal flows create nutrient-rich dive sites ideal for macro photography, dolphin encounters and occasional whale sightings at sunset. The remote straits between Alor and Solor offer dramatic diving and untouched island scenery.
Daily Activities
Up to 3–4 dives per day, including night dives at selected sites, with additional opportunities for snorkelling, kayaking and beach excursions. Dive plans are adapted daily based on weather and guest preferences.
Day 12: Disembarkation in Kalabahi
After a final breakfast on board, guests disembark in Kalabahi, bringing this remote Indonesian adventure to a close.
