Discover the South Atolls of the Maldives: A Hidden Sanctuary for Diving Enthusiasts
The Dune Liveaboard offers an unforgettable diving adventure through the unspoiled North and South Gaafu Atolls of the Maldives. Renowned for their pristine reefs and diverse marine life, these remote atolls promise encounters with manta rays, whale sharks, reef fish, and even large pelagic species like tiger sharks and hammerheads. Between dives, guests can relax on secluded beaches or soak in the Maldives’ rich island culture—blending adventure and tranquility in one remarkable journey.
Day 1: Arrival
Guests arrive via domestic flight to Gan or Kooddoo and board the vessel for a welcome briefing, document check, and dinner.
Day 2: North Gaafu Atoll
Dives begin at Kooddoo Corner, Vilingili Kandu, and Kooddoo Kandu—home to turtles, eagle rays, grey reef sharks, and tunas.
Day 3: North to South Gaafu
Highlights include Vilingili and Nilandoo Kandu with sightings of barracudas, jackfish, and reef sharks. The day ends with a scenic drift dive at Kondey Out.
Day 4: South Gaafu Atoll
Dives at Kondey Kandu, Marea Kandu, and Gemanafushi Corner showcase dogtooth tunas, jackfish, and eagle rays.
Day 5: Fuvahmulah Atoll
Fuvahmulah House Reef offers thrilling encounters with tiger sharks, hammerheads, and other apex predators.
Day 6–7: Addu Atoll
Sites like Kuda Kandu, Maa Kandu, and Koattey Faru feature manta rays, schooling fish, and vibrant coral gardens.
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, guests disembark and are transferred to the airport, leaving with unforgettable memories of the Maldives.
