Day 1 - Bali
After boarding Adelaar in Bali's Serangan Harbor, the vessel departs the harbor and heads north along the coastline, with hopes of a beautiful sunset over Bali's Mount Agung. The journey then continues eastward along the northern coast of Lombok toward Moyo Island, off the coast of Sumbawa. Sailing continues overnight.
Day 2 - Moyo Island
Clear, warm waters filled with abundant fish life await guests on the first day of diving at the seamounts off Moyo Island. An optional village visit, including a stroll to a nearby waterfall, is also possible. (2 to 3 day dives)
Day 3 - Teluk Saleh
The deep bay of Teluk Saleh hosts a recently discovered permanent aggregation of whale sharks. Entry into the bay is timed to coincide with a new moon, offering the best chance for encounters. The onboard team works closely with the local village, whose guides lead the way to areas of recent sightings.
Day 4 - Sangeang / Banta
After a second night’s crossing, the critters inhabiting the colorful reefs of Sangeang’s rich black sandy slopes await discovery. A completely different underwater landscape sets the scene at Banta, where hard coral formations on white sandy substrates are home to a multitude of fish, turtles, sea snakes, reef sharks, and occasionally eagle rays and manta rays. (3 day dives, 1 night dive)
Day 5 - South Komodo National Park
This entire day is dedicated to rays. During the day, dives focus on ‘Manta Alley,’ considered one of the world’s best sites to observe manta rays. In the evening, attention turns to their smaller relatives, the elusive torpedo rays. (3 day dives, 1 night dive)
Day 6 - South Rinca Komodo National Park
Extraordinarily healthy and unique reefs shelter an abundance of unusual critters, making this area of Komodo National Park a photographer’s dream. (3 day dives, 1 night dive)
Day 7 - Central Komodo National Park
In the morning, the island of Rinca is visited to observe the park’s terrestrial wildlife, with Komodo dragons as the highlight. After the walk, diving continues at the action-packed sites of the park’s central region, featuring stunning coral reefs alive with colorful fish. (2 day dives, 1 night dive)
Day 8 - Gili Lawa North Komodo National Park
The seamounts and drift dives around the Gili Lawa Islands in the northernmost part of the park are among the signature dive sites of the Komodo archipelago. In the evening, those who climb to the viewpoint are rewarded with a spectacular sunset over the entire national park. (3 day dives, 1 night dive)
Day 9 - Tatawa Komodo National Park
The constant currents nourishing the corals around the Tatawa Islands ensure reefs bursting with vibrant color, providing a fitting backdrop for the final dives within the park. (3 day dives)
Day 10 - Palue
The steep walls of the volcanic island of Palue, north of central Flores, are draped in soft corals and gorgonians. With some luck, pygmy seahorses or rare nudibranchs may be spotted. After the morning dives, sails are raised to begin the final leg of the voyage, weather permitting. (2 day dives)
Day 11 - Maumere
After a final breakfast onboard, it is time to disembark and say farewell—until the next adventure.
