Route Description - Raja Ampat & Banda Sea
12 Days 11 Nights
Day 1: Embarkation – Sorong to Ambon
Guests arrive in Sorong and are greeted by crew members at the airport. Embarkation takes place in the port of Ambon, followed by a general orientation on board.
Day 2: Dampier Strait, Raja Ampat
Following the dive briefing, guests enjoy three relaxed check dives near the Dampier Strait. These sites, while easy, offer a first glimpse into Raja Ampat’s staggering marine biodiversity—the richest on the planet.
Day 3: Dampier Strait
Dives today take place at some of Raja Ampat’s most iconic sites, including Kap Kri, Sardine Reef, and Mike’s Point. Rich currents bring vibrant fish life, frequent manta sightings, and the chance to witness sites where hundreds of fish species have been recorded in a single dive.
Day 4: Farondi, Misool
Exploration continues in SE Misool around Farondi. Guests dive dramatic underwater topography—caves, caverns, and swim-throughs—often surrounded by Silversides and hunting Mobula rays.
Day 5: Fiabatjet, Misool
Diving the heart of Misool’s No-Take Zone, sites like Tank Rock, Nudi Rock, and Whale Rock offer thriving reefs, dense schools of Fusiliers, and rich macro life including pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs.
Day 6: Boo, Misool
‘Magic Mountain’, a signature site, lives up to its name with reef sharks, Napoleon wrasses, manta rays, and more. Later dives include Boo Windows and Hidung Boo, known for dramatic swim-throughs and enormous sea fans.
Day 7: Koon
At the island of Koon, the site ‘Too Many Fish’ delivers exactly that—dense schools of reef fish, Giant Trevallies, Mobulas, Mantas, Leopard Sharks, and outstanding macro subjects all in one dive.
Days 8–9: Banda Islands
Guests explore the historic Spice Islands with options to tour Banda Neira’s forts and museum, or climb Gunung Api volcano. Diving highlights include the hard coral gardens of Lava Flow, potential hammerhead encounters, and a vibrant Mandarin Fish dive in the harbor.
Day 10: Nusa Laut
Diving around Nusa Laut showcases the results of local conservation. Healthy walls and slopes teem with reef fish, jack schools, bumphead parrotfish, and an abundance of macro life.
Day 11: Ambon Bay
Two world-class muck dives cap off the trip, offering the chance to spot rare critters like Rhinopias, Ghostpipefish, Harlequin Shrimps, and possibly the elusive Psychedelic Frogfish.
Day 12: Disembarkation – Ambon
Crew assist with flight check-ins and airport transfers, allowing guests to relax on board before departure.
