Route Description - Raja Ampat North & Central
12 Days 11 Nights
Day 1: Embarkation – Sorong
Guests arrive in Sorong and are welcomed at the airport by the crew before boarding the vessel. The day is spent settling in, setting up dive gear, and meeting the Cruise Director for dive group arrangements. No diving today.
Day 2: Yanggefo
Following a general briefing, the first check dive takes place in a calm, protected site. Guests then explore vibrant sites like ‘Mayhem’ and ‘Citrus Ridge’, rich in soft and hard coral. The day’s highlight is a dive through the blue-water mangroves, home to archerfish, cardinalfish, and juvenile reef fish.
Day 3: Yeben & Wofoh
Yeben offers pristine hard coral gardens teeming with fusiliers and soft coral in the currents. In the afternoon, guests dive Wofoh, known for anchovy schools, a black coral forest, and the renowned night dive at Taman Wofoh.
Day 4: Alyui
The bay of Alyui showcases world-class macro diving. Between dives, guests tour the Atlas South Sea Pearl farm, famed for producing exceptional pearls.
Day 5: Kawe & Wayag
Diving begins at Eagle Rocks, a known manta ray cleaning station. After a dive at a secret spot, the vessel crosses the equator and enters Wayag. Guests hike Mt. Pindito for the iconic Raja Ampat view and enjoy a sunset lagoon cruise.
Day 6: Equator Islands
Diving continues in northern Raja Ampat with dramatic underwater terrain: swim-throughs, crevices, and canyons. These exposed sites feature bold topography and thrilling underwater exploration.
Day 7: Penemu
Known for lush hard coral reefs and rich marine biodiversity, Penemu offers dives at sites like Melissa’s Garden and My Reef. In the afternoon, guests climb to the famous Penemu viewpoint overlooking the lagoon.
Day 8: Mansuar & Arborek
Dives are focused on manta encounters away from the crowds. Later, guests dive Arborek Jetty, noted for its soft coral-covered pillars and macro life, followed by a village visit on the island.
Day 9: North Batanta
The north coast of Batanta offers diverse dive options—healthy reefs, critters, and possible manta sightings. The day ends with a peaceful sunset anchorage where hornbills gather to roost.
Day 10: Dampier Strait
Guests dive world-famous Dampier Strait sites like ‘Sardine’, ‘Kap Kri’, and ‘Mike’s Point’. Fast currents fuel "fish soup" conditions, with swirling schools of fish and frequent manta sightings.
Day 11: Dampier
Depending on flight schedules, one or two dives are offered at remaining Dampier sites. The final dive is usually a relaxed one unless guests opt for a more adventurous current dive. On the way back, crew members remain alert for dolphins and whales.
Day 12: Disembarkation – Sorong
Luggage is handled by the crew, and guests are transferred to the airport in time for their departing flights.
