11 Days 10 Nights
Komodo features an extraordinary biodiversity shaped by its dramatic contrasts—from the warm, tropical waters teeming with Pacific species to the cooler currents that bring in temperate ocean life. Recognized as one of the ‘New 7 Wonders of Nature’ in 2011, Komodo National Park offers a remarkably diverse range of dive sites and marine environments. Situated within the famed Coral Triangle, the region boasts the highest marine biodiversity on the planet.
Under the protection of park rangers, the waters of Komodo are home to over 1,000 species of fish and hundreds of coral varieties. Dive sites extend from the warm Flores Sea in the north to the cooler Indian Ocean waters in the south, offering a rich variety of conditions and marine encounters. The underwater landscape is equally diverse, featuring sheer walls, pinnacles, sandy bottoms, plateaus, sloping reefs, caves, swim-throughs, and channels—all adorned with a kaleidoscope of hard and soft corals.
Divers can expect thrilling encounters with pelagic species and a vibrant macro scene. The area is a haven for critter enthusiasts, with many rare and endemic species making appearances. A macro lens is essential to capture the many unusual and fascinating creatures unique to these waters.
