Route Description - Misool - Banda Sea

Guests will embark on an unforgettable liveaboard adventure from Sorong to Ambon, exploring the pristine reefs of Misool and the stunning underwater landscapes of the Banda Sea. This journey takes them through some of the planet’s richest marine biodiversity hotspots, offering vibrant coral gardens, dramatic walls, and thrilling pelagic encounters. With each dive, guests will discover unique marine life and breathtaking underwater scenery, making this route a diver’s dream.
The itinerary is crafted to maximize diving opportunities while ensuring a seamless and relaxing experience on board. The exact dive sites visited will depend on weather and sea conditions, prioritizing safety and the best possible underwater experiences.
Day 1
Upon arrival in Sorong, guests are welcomed aboard the vessel and begin settling into their cabins. A welcome briefing, safety orientation, and equipment preparation set the stage for the journey ahead. The rest of the day is spent relaxing and preparing for the adventure. In the evening, the vessel sets course for Misool.
Days 2 to 11
The diving expedition begins in the vibrant waters of Misool, where pristine coral gardens and rich biodiversity await. As the cruise continues into the Banda Sea, guests explore an array of spectacular dive sites featuring dramatic drop-offs, seamounts, and pinnacles. Encounters with reef sharks, schools of pelagic fish, and an abundance of macro life are common. Walls covered in sea fans and sponges offer thrilling drift dives, while historic sites provide a deeper connection to the region’s past. Each day features up to three dives, with optional night dives adding even more variety. Between dives, there are opportunities to snorkel or enjoy scenic boat rides around the region’s remote, unspoiled islands.
Day 12
Weather permitting, the morning is reserved for final dives at some of the Banda Sea’s most iconic locations. In the afternoon, the vessel begins its approach toward Ambon. Guests can unwind on deck, take in the scenery, and reflect on the highlights of the journey.
Day 13
Following a final breakfast, guests disembark in Ambon. Transfers to the airport or nearby accommodations are arranged. As the last dive takes place on the previous day, a 24-hour surface interval is recommended before flying.
