Route Description - Rowley Shoal Cruise (5 Nights)
Rowley Shoal Cruise
Welcome Aboard
Guests are welcomed aboard True North in Broome with cocktails and dinner before setting off on an overnight cruise to the remote Rowley Shoals.
Clerke Reef
At sunrise, True North arrives at stunning Clerke Reef. Guided by the expert crew, snorkellers and divers explore vibrant coral gardens teeming with fish, while beachcombers wander Bedwell Island. Anglers try catch-and-release fishing with eco-friendly gear. The day concludes with fine dining and the first of many unforgettable Rowley sunsets.
The Aquarium
The morning begins with a visit to the Aquarium, a shallow, waist-deep coral wonderland home to giant clams and over 600 colourful fish species. After lunch, guests enjoy a thrilling drift snorkel along the outer reef, then unwind in the calm, turquoise waters of Clerke Lagoon.
The Outer Reef
An early swim is followed by an adventure to the outer reef, where dramatic coral walls and thriving marine life provide a spectacular snorkelling experience. Fishing boats seek out Spanish mackerel, dogtooth tuna, wahoo, and sailfish, with chances to spot humpback whales and manta rays. Sunset drinks and a lively island party cap off the day, before returning to the comfort of True North beneath a canopy of stars.
Bedwell Island
Guests spend the day exploring the lagoon’s coral bommies, known as “The Maze,” with options to fish, paddleboard, kayak, or stroll the island. That evening, True North begins the return voyage to Broome, as the Rowley Shoals disappear into a blazing western sunset.
Return to Broome
The cruise concludes with an early morning arrival in Broome and transfer to local accommodations or onward flights, bringing a remarkable adventure to a close.
