Route Description - Raja Ampat North
This Raja Ampat North – 8 Days / 7 Nights itinerary explores the remote northern reaches of Raja Ampat, combining world-class diving with breathtaking island scenery. From the vibrant reefs of the Fam Islands to the wild beauty of Kawe and Wayag, divers can expect encounters with manta rays, reef sharks, barracuda and dense schools of fish. Highlights include iconic sites such as Cape Kri and Blue Magic in the Dampier Strait, alongside pristine coral gardens, limestone karsts, lagoons and unforgettable topside adventures, making this a truly immersive Raja Ampat experience.
Day 1 – Embarkation (Sorong) & Black Rock
Arrival in Sorong with transfer to the vessel. After welcome briefing, sail to Black Rock for a check dive.
Day 2 – Fam Islands (Penemu)
Explore the stunning Fam Islands with dives at sites like Melissa’s Garden and Galaxy, known for vibrant coral gardens and abundant marine life. Enjoy kayaking in lagoons and a sunset hike with panoramic views.
Day 3–4 – Kawe & Wayag
Dive remote northern Raja Ampat, including Kawe and Wayag. Expect pristine reefs, manta rays, reef sharks and schooling fish at sites like Eagle Rock and Magic Rock. Enjoy iconic limestone landscapes, beach time, kayaking and optional hikes.
Day 5 – Wofoh, Gam & Arborek
Dive colourful reefs around Wofoh and Yangefo with chances to see wobbegong sharks, barracuda and large schools of fish. Optional birdwatching on Gam Island. Night dive at Arborek.
Day 6 – Dampier Strait
Explore world-famous sites such as Cape Kri, Mioskon and Blue Magic. Expect high fish density, reef sharks, barracuda, tuna, napoleon wrasse and occasional manta rays.
Day 7 – Dampier Strait / Passage
Final dive at sites like The Passage or Batu Lima, or optional jellyfish lake snorkelling. Begin sailing back to Sorong.
Day 8 – Disembarkation (Sorong)
Return to Sorong for breakfast and disembarkation.
