Route Description - Komodo Island 7 Nights
A Komodo Classic – 8 Days / 7 Nights itinerary explores the highlights of Komodo National Park, combining world-class diving with unforgettable island experiences. From vibrant reefs at Sebayor to iconic sites like Crystal Rock, Castle Rock and Batu Bolong, divers can expect manta rays, reef sharks, turtles and vast schools of fish across thrilling drift dives and colourful coral gardens. The journey also includes scenic hikes, sunset viewpoints and a visit to Komodo dragon habitats on Rinca, offering a perfect balance of adventure above and below the surface.
Day 1 – Embarkation (Labuan Bajo) & Sebayur
Arrival and transfer to the vessel. Check dives at Sebayur Kecil and Mini Wall, with chances to spot nudibranchs, lionfish and macro life. Night dive if conditions allow.
Day 2 – Gili Lawa Laut
Dive world-famous sites such as Crystal Rock, Castle Rock and Lighthouse. Expect strong currents, abundant reef fish, sharks and pelagic species. Optional island hike for panoramic views.
Day 3 – Gili Lawa Darat
Explore sites like Golden Passage, Cauldron and Coral Garden. Encounters may include manta rays, reef sharks, napoleon wrasse, turtles and schooling fish. Sunset hike available.
Day 4 – Central Komodo (Makassar Strait)
Dive Batu Bolong and Tatawa Besar, followed by manta encounters in Makassar Strait. Highlights include drift dives over vibrant soft corals and rich marine life.
Day 5 – Tatawa & Siaba
Dive Tatawa Besar and Tatawa Kecil with stunning coral formations and strong currents. Continue to Siaba Island for a relaxed evening and beach barbecue.
Day 6 – Komodo Island & Pink Beach
Snorkel or dive at Pink Beach and nearby sites such as Batu Tiga and Bonsai. Expect macro life, reef fish and occasional pelagic encounters.
Day 7 – Rinca Island
Morning dives at Pengah and nearby reefs. Afternoon trek on Rinca Island to see Komodo dragons, followed by sunset bat migration at Kalong Island.
Day 8 – Disembarkation (Labuan Bajo)
Final snorkelling opportunity before returning to Labuan Bajo for departure.
