Route Description - Crossing Alor – Ambon
Alor, a small island north of West Timor in Eastern Indonesia, is a remote diving hotspot that offers absolute world-class scuba dive sites with coral reefs, big fish & muck diving. The locals have been sustaining a great effort in keeping the reefs healthy and protecting the area from overfishing. Hence, the dive spots are covered with stunning colorful healthy reefs and have abundant diverse marine species. The fact that Alor is in a remote area makes the underwater world a diver’s dream.
Day 1
Guests are transferred from the airport or hotel to the ship by the Sea Safari crew. A welcome briefing is conducted by the Cruise Director, followed by cabin allocation and ship orientation. Guests have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the vessel, set up equipment, and settle in.
Days 2–10
The itinerary includes 3–4 dives daily, including a night dive where possible. During crossings, only 2 dives per day are scheduled.
Day 11
The final day of diving includes 1–2 dives.
Day 12
After breakfast and check-out, the crew prepares for disembarkation. Guests are bid farewell and transferred to the airport. Divers are advised to allow 24 hours between their last dive and flying.
