Route Description - Indonesia Oceania Route II – Triton Bay, The Bomberai Peninsula, Banda Islands & Ambon

Day 1: Arrival in Kaimana & Boarding
Guests arrive at Kaimana Airport and are met by the crew for transfer to the liveaboard vessel. After a warm welcome, guests receive a safety briefing, check into their cabins, and get familiar with the ship.
In the afternoon, the vessel sets sail from Kaimana toward Triton Bay, offering scenic views along the way.
The evening concludes with a welcome dinner shared with fellow guests and crew as the journey begins.
Days 2–11: Diving & Exploration – Triton Bay, Bomberai Peninsula & Forgotten Islands
Over the next nine days, guests will dive and explore some of Indonesia’s most remote and biodiverse marine regions, with daily opportunities for adventure both above and below the surface.
Triton Bay Highlights:
– Dive among lush soft coral gardens and black coral forests teeming with life.
– Seasonal chances to swim with whale sharks.
– Optional village visits to experience West Papuan culture and hospitality.
– Explore mangroves and towering limestone cliffs via kayak or tender.
Bomberai Peninsula Highlights:
– Discover untouched reefs covered in vibrant hard and soft corals.
– Spot elusive critters such as pygmy seahorses, frogfish, and nudibranchs.
– Land excursions to hidden beaches and panoramic viewpoints.
Historic Banda & Ambon Highlights:
– Dive in crystal-clear waters with dramatic drop-offs and schooling fish.
– Seasonal encounters with schooling hammerhead sharks.
– Explore rarely visited islands steeped in spice trade history.
Daily Activities:
– Up to 3–4 dives per day, including night dives where conditions allow.
– Additional activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, and beach treks.
– Scenic cruising through isolated atolls and island chains.
– Daily plans are tailored based on weather and guest preferences.
Day 12: Disembarkation in Ambon
After a final breakfast onboard, guests disembark in Ambon and are transferred to the airport for onward travel.
Note: The final dive is scheduled for the penultimate day of the cruise. A minimum surface interval of 24 hours is recommended before flying.
