Route Description - Jurassic Komodo
Dive into the heart of Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage gem where adventure meets natural wonder. Experience thrilling dives with manta rays, reef sharks, and vibrant marine life, then unwind with breathtaking sunsets over Sangeang Volcano. Trek with rangers to encounter the legendary Komodo dragon, explore the magical night dive at Turtle Heaven, and savor an unforgettable top-deck BBQ as thousands of fruit bats take flight over Bat Island—a once-in-a-lifetime journey through Indonesia’s wild beauty.
Day 1 - Labuan Bajo
Guests are picked up from hotels or the airport between 8:00–9:00 AM and welcomed aboard La Galigo. After refreshments and a safety briefing, the vessel departs around 10:00 AM. The first two dives take place at Sebayur Kecil and Sebayur Besar—calm, sheltered sites perfect for a relaxed start to diving in Komodo.
Day 2 - West Komodo
The day begins with a dive at Tatawa Besar, followed by encounters with manta rays at Manta Point. After lunch, guests dive Batu Bolong, known for its rich marine life including trevallies, barracudas, and reef sharks. Later, a short trek on Gili Lawa Darat offers a sunset view over Sangeang Volcano, followed by a night dive at Stranger Things.
Day 3 - Northwest Komodo
Diving highlights include Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, and The Cauldron (The Shotgun). These sites feature thrilling drift dives, schooling fish, eagle rays, and reef sharks. A night dive is done at Komodo Bay, conditions permitting.
Day 4 - Southwest Komodo
After a sunrise drift dive at Golden Passage, the vessel heads to central Komodo for dives at Police Corner and Mauan, known for manta sightings. The night dive at Siaba Besar offers excellent macro photography opportunities with cuttlefish, nudibranchs, and octopus.
Day 5 - Komodo on Foot
A final dive at Pink Beach reveals colorful corals and reef fish before a land excursion to see the Komodo Dragons. In the evening, guests enjoy the sight of fruit bats at Pulau Kalong and a farewell BBQ under the stars.
Day 6 - Disembark in Labuan Bajo
La Galigo returns to Labuan Bajo by early morning. Guests can stay onboard until 11:00 AM to exchange photos and say farewells before transfer to the airport or hotel.
