Route Description - Socorro Island Giant Mantas, Sharks, and Dolphins
Diving Socorro in late spring and early summer offers the richest marine encounters of the year. Sharks are seen on nearly every dive often in schools including hammerheads, silver tips, silkies, Galapagos, and the ever-present white tip reef sharks stacked at Roca Partida. Vast schools of jacks, bait balls, giant tuna, and seasonal visits from pilot whales make this the peak season for biodiversity, with more life in the water than at any other time of year.
