Route Description - Banda Sea & Raja Ampat (Ambon-Sorong)

Embark on an 11-day Banda Sea and Misool adventure, starting in Ambon and cruising through some of Indonesia’s most breathtaking dive destinations. Encounter schooling hammerheads around Manukang and Hatta, explore Watubela’s pristine reefs and beaches, and dive among swirling fish at Koon. Discover the dramatic limestone lagoons and world-class reefs of Misool, from Balbulol and Wayilbatan to Fiabacet and Daram, where sites like Magic Mountain and Nudi Rock teem with manta rays, reef sharks, and kaleidoscopic coral life. Between dives, enjoy scenic lagoon tours, island hikes, and serene sunsets before concluding your journey in Sorong.

Day 1 – Ambon
Guests board Adelaar in Ambon and begin cruising into the Banda Sea.

Day 2 – Manukang
Diving around Manukang, a volcanic island known for schooling hammerhead sharks and vibrant sponge-covered ridges. (4 dives)

Day 3 – Hatta
Dives focus on spotting large schools of hammerhead sharks around Hatta Island. (4 dives)

Day 4 – Watubela
Explore the Watubela archipelago, home to hammerheads, rich marine life, and white sandy beaches perfect for sunset views. (3 dives)

Day 5 – Koon
Dive among dense fish populations, followed by an optional snorkel through hidden marine lakes and canals. (3 dives)

Day 6 – Misool (Balbulol)
Dive at Balbulol’s sites such as Two Tree Island and Love Potion; enjoy a scenic boat tour of its striking limestone lagoon. (3 day dives, 1 night dive)

Day 7 – Misool (Wayilbatan)
Discover Wayilbatan’s seamounts, coral gardens, and diverse marine life. (3 dives)

Day 8 – Misool (Fiabacet, Wayil, Pele)
Dive iconic Misool sites like Nudi Rock and Magic Mountain, and hike to Love Lake for a heart-shaped lagoon view. (3 dives)

Day 9 – Misool (Wagmab)
Explore Wagmab’s colorful coral reefs, critters, and stingless jellyfish lakes. (3 day dives, 1 night dive)

Day 10 – Daram (Misool)
Morning dives at Daram’s vibrant reefs before sailing overnight to Sorong. (2 dives)

Day 11 – Sorong
Arrive early in Sorong for breakfast and transfers.

Booking Conditions / Additional Costs / Marine Park Fees

Cancellations for Individual and Group Bookings: All cancellations must be made by fax or e-mail. The date that ADELAAR receives the cancellation of the booking by e-mail or fax is the date used to determine the cancellation penalty.

Cancellation penalties for individual bookings:
More than 90 Days - Loss of deposit. Less than 90 Days - Loss of full payment Less than 60 days prior to departure: 100% of the individual cruise price.

Cancellation penalties for group bookings:
More than 91 days prior to departure: forfeit of deposit.
Less than 90 days prior to departure: 100% of the group charter price.
Once an add-in Diving Komodo Itinerary becomes fully booked and closed for further bookings, no refunds will be given for cancellations. This information will be posted on our webpage schedule, as fully booked. Individual guests are responsible for checking the website prior to any cancellation.
A passenger who has booked into a scheduled Bali to Komodo trip, and who wishes to cancel, has the option to substitute another person (not already scheduled on the trip) into his space to avoid the cancellation penalty. Passenger substitution will be allowed up to three days prior to departure.
ADELAAR will not refund any money to passengers who fail to show for boarding on the trip departure date, whether this is due to missed airline connections or from the lack of proper paperwork required to enter the country, or any other reason. If an airline connection is missed, ADELAAR will make all efforts to arrange that the passenger can join the ADELAAR at some point in the itinerary. However, the cost to do so (airfare, small boat transport to ADELAAR, or any other cost involved) is solely the responsibility of the client.
If the customer interrupts or cuts short a trip for any reason, ADELAAR is not liable to refund any money to the customer. In cases of emergency such as personal illness or accident, ADELAAR will assist in all necessary arrangements for the passenger’s return travel. However, the cost of this is to be borne solely by the passenger.
For these reasons we strongly recommend the purchase of trip interruption insurance and/or trip cancellation insurance.
