Beyond lies the vast Eight Degree Channel, which separates the continental shelf of India and Sri Lanka from the northern tip of the Maldives. During the calm northeast season, from March to April, the journey extends into these deep ocean waters, offering rare opportunities to encounter the magnificent giants of the sea—blue whales and sperm whales—in their natural environment.
This itinerary includes a 50-minute one-way flight, either from Malé to Hanimaadhoo or Hanimaadhoo to Malé.
